About Me

~ About Me from My Nieces ~

My dear Aunt has started baking many years back. We can still remember the times when she first started lessons from Phoon Huat, she will busy herself by baking different sorts of cakes every week. And without fail, each week my family will get to taste her wonderful and delicious creations. The cake that left us with the deepest impression was a beautiful bluish-purple cake that both looked and tasted fantastic. But after savoring the cake, all of us were left with blue lips and tongue, which made us look like Smurfs...hahaa...

Other than baking cakes, my Aunt also has a flare in baking various types of cookies and pastries. She later also ventured into desserts and main course dishes. I believe her strong passion for culinary had arose from watching her grandmother preparing many delicious meals  for her in her as a child. And through cooking, she's able to reminiscent back to those good old days and now she's able to cook and hopefully share her wonderful experience with family and friends. To expand her repertoire of cooking recipes, my Aunt will constantly be looking out for new and interesting recipes in magazines, newspapers or the Internet. Whenever she gets the opportunity, she'll try her hands on them and add her own personal touches to improvise.

Other than her culinary skills, my Aunt also enjoys handicrafts and sometimes she expresses herself in the little artworks that she creates. All in all, we think our Aunt is a truely amazing lady that has so unselfishly shared her great talents and interest in cooking and baking with us and we're really proud of her achievements.

Cheers!
