Apple Brownie Cake

Moist, soft and delicious with the combination of walnuts and cinnamon. A perfect healthy treat to serve for any occasions..

Ingredients
 

  • 125 g melted butter
  • 90 g caster sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 red apples - Granny Smith apples
  • 50 g walnuts - chopped
  • 115 g cake flour or plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 170 deg C. Line a 8 inch square tray all sides up. Sift cake flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon powder into a bowl for later use.
  • Peel apples, cored and chopped to pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract together with a hand whisk.
  • Drop in chopped apples and walnuts and fold with a rubber spatula. Fold the flour mixture into the wet mixture until just blended.
  • Spread evenly into the lined cake tray. Bake for about 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Leave cake to cool, slice and dust with some icing icing sugar before serving.

  1. 预热烤箱摄氏170度,将一个8寸正方形烤盘铺上油纸,备用。将面粉,泡打粉,苏打粉及肉桂粉一起过筛到碗里,备用。
  2. 苹果去皮,去核,切丁状。
  3. 在一个大碗将牛油,砂糖,鸡蛋及香精搅拌均匀。
  4. 放入苹果丁和核桃,用橡皮刮刀翻拌均匀。最后倒入粉类,再拌匀即可。
  5. 倒入烤盘里,铺平。送入预热烤箱烘约30分钟左右或竹签扎入蛋糕内部不沾糊就可以了
  6. 冷却蛋糕,切片及撒上适量的糖粉即可享用。
