Chocolate Gateau also known as gâteau au chocolat (chocolate cake) in French, is easy to make with a little stirring for lazy home bakers like me. You can decorate the rich and little fudgy cake with a simple dusting of icing sugar or with whipped cream on top with fresh berries.

Ingredients
135g70% Valrhona chocolate
90gcaster sugar
1tspvanilla extract
2largeeggs
80gbutter - salted
35gcake flour or plain flour
Instructions
Melt butter and chocolate to smooth at low heat under double boiler and set aside to cool.
In another bowl, mix eggs and sugar together till sugar dissolved. Pour in melted chocolate and stir mixture till combined.
Sieve in flour and mix well mixture.
Pour chocolate batter into a 6 or 7 inch lined cake pan. Bake in preheated oven at 170 degrees C for about 20 minutes.
Release cake from pan after 10 minutes and place on wire rack to cool down completely or serve it warm.
