Easy of preparing pan fried radish cake without first steaming it. It's a delicious and fragrant snack (or dim sum) to enjoy at home especially for the festive holidays, Chinese Lunar New Year.

Ingredients
600gradish - shredded
25gdried shrimp
2tbspspring onion
Seasoning
1tspchicken powder
1tspsugar
1/2tspsesame oil
2tbspplain flour
2tbspcornstarch
dash of pepper
Instructions
Soak dried shrimps in water for 10 minutes, remove water and blend fine. Set aside.
Blanch shredded radish in boiling water till soft for about one minute. Dish up and leave to cool, then squeeze out excess water gently. The shredded radish should be a little wet to mix with the flours.
Combine shredded radish, dried shrimp and spring onion in a bowl. Add seasoning and mix well. Lastly add plain flour and cornstarch. Mix mixture well again with dash of pepper.
Divide radish mixture into 6 portions, and fry in one pan with 4 cavities. Pan fry the radish cake with oil on both sides till aromatic and golden brown about 3 minutes on each side at medium low heat.
