This Stewed Pork Chops with Apple is delicious and flavorful. The apple slices are soft and tender. The tangy sweet pan sauce is well complemented with the pork chops and so goes well to go with hot rice. Definitely a perfect hearty meal for your family to enjoy at home.

Instructions
Pound pork chops with a meat mallet or the back of a knife to break down connective tissues and muscle fibers, making the meat more tender.
Marinate pork chops with some salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Mix well and add 1 tablespoon of corn oil together with the garlic. Chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes or to an hour.
Combine seasoning in a small bowl, set aside.
Cut apple in thick slices, remove core and soak in salt water for a minute to prevent from browning, strain well.
Heat up frying pan with 2 tablespoons of corn oil. Sear the pork chops on both sides till brown - about 2 minutes, dish up and set aside.
Throw in shredded onion, garlic and apple slices in the same frying pan, fry for a while and add pork chops on top, followed by cooking wine. Add seasoning and enough hot water just to cover about the pork chops. Stir well and bring sauce to boil. Cover with lid and simmer at low heat for about 30 minutes or till meat tender (flip pork chops half way through cooking).
Lastly turn on high heat and let the sauce dry up slightly and until it thickens. Dish up, cut up pork chops and serve with hot rice.
