Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Happy Birthday, Singapore! For the celebration of Singapore National Day on 9 August 2011 (that’s tomorrow) I made a Singapore flag with agar agar. Let’s celebrate this special day together and please check on Cosy BakeCuisine Paradise, Fong’s Kitchen Journal, Luxury Haven and Norm I Must  on their creations for Singapore 46th  Birthday.  
Here is the recipe
for the red part of the flag
1 cup Water
40g Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Agar agar powder
1 pandan leaf – rinse and tie into a small knot
a few drops of red colouring
for the white part of the flag 
1 cup Water
40g Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Agar agar powder
1 pandan leaf – rinse and tie into a small knot
3 tbsp fresh milk
