IngredientsGingerbread Christmas Tree Cookies
(A) 40g Butter, softened
75g Brown sugar
(B) 1/8 tsp Salt
35g Honey
60g Fresh milk
(C) 250g Plain flour
1/2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Ground ginger
1 tsp Cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
sieve together in a bowl
Method:
- Beat (A) butter and brown sugar till light and fluffy.
- Add (B) salt, honey and fresh milk till creamy.
- Pour in (C) flour mixture, scrap bowl and mixture till a soft dough.
- Place dough it in a plastic sheet and chill for 60 minutes.
- Roll chilled dough between two plastic sheets to 0.5 cm thick.
- Use different shape of star cookies cutter to cut out dough and place on baking tray.
- Bake at preheated oven 180C for 15 minutes and leave to cool.
- Dust some icing sugar on cookies and stack them into tree shape. Attach tree topper with some royal icing.

DeleteAnn, 好美的cookie圣诞树。这个树我也想做了两年哈哈。。。但是今年还是没做。这个是个很好centre piece 的idea。我这个礼拜就收工了,这个project留明年了。我做了cookie ornament 你是餐桌的centre piece,很配。

Hi Ann! I like the star-stacked x'mas tree! How do you make the tree topper stay upright? Just the royal icing alone?
ReplyDeleteYes, just tip a little royal icing at the end of the star and it will dry up quickly.

DeleteMay I know how to make the royal icing?every time I made the royal icing was not very good,especially while adding in the coloring,it couldnt mix well and runny.How to keep the royal icing for the next day?
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, I didn't make the royal icing myself because only a small amount of it needed. I just bought it from the ingredients store.

ReplyDeleteWoo.. Christmas tree! Am too busy to came out any of the Christmas recipe. Not doing any party for this yr as well. Really exhausted Liao. Wil just sit back n relax. In my mind to completed one fruit cake n hopefully it turns out before christmas. Like ur christmas tree very much especially with the deco. Looks perfect .
