Nam Yee Baked Chicken Wings

As Chinese New Year is just around the corner, that is on 31st Jan this year. I'm sure everyone is still busy baking and preparing a long list of good food for the festive holidays. Why not add this hassle free Nam Yee (南乳fermented red bean curd) Baked Chicken Wings on your list too? I adapted this recipe from Anna with slight changes. I used the chicken mid joint instead and baked them in the air fryer for about 13 minutess. You can definitely use the whole chicken wing like in Anna's post and baked in the oven at 200C for about 25 mins. The end result was delicious, fragrant with a little of tinge of honey yummy chicken wings. Great to serve this finger food to your guests too.

Nam Yee Baked Chicken Wings

    Ingredients:
     18 Chicken mid joints
3 pcs NamYee (fermented red bean curd)
     1 tbsp Oyster sauce
     1 tbsp Garlic, minced
      1/2 tbsp Dark soy sauce
     1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
     1/2 tbsp Sugar
     1/2 tbsp Honey

     Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients together with the chicken mid joints and marinate over night in the fridge. (Use fork or skewer to poke small holes in the chicken meat for tastier flavour after baked)
  • Place 6 pieces chicken mid joints into Phillip air fryer and turn temperature to 180C. Bake for 7 minutes at one side, brush some marinade over the mid joints,  turn over and bake for another 6 minutes or till cooked.

  17. Hello Ann, however our traditional cooking of chicken wings differs from the way we can see on your site, there is a growing number of people who choose asian food and oriental dishes and spices. My wife has also enjoyed reading your recipes, and will definately try it at the weekend. Thanks for shsring it!
