Fried Rice with Olive Vegetables 橄榄菜炒饭
Ingredients:
500g Cold Cooked Rice
80-100g Ham ~ cut to small pieces
2 tsp Garlic ~ chopped
4 tbsp Olive vegetables
2 Eggs ~ beaten & add 1/2 tsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp Salt
Method:
- Heat enough oil in wok, add beaten eggs and swirl around the wok until just cooked. Use the frying spade to cut the cooked eggs to small pieces. Dish up and set aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil and saute garlic until fragrant. Add in ham and olive vegetables, stir fry until aromatic.
- Pour the cold rice into it and mix well with the olive vegetables, add salt and some pepper follow the the cooked eggs ~ stir fry well.
- Dish up and serve immediately.

Elin: Many bloggers asked me the same question. I had made a search at the website~ it is made from mustard leaves,olive seed and vegetable oil with soya sauce. (a little salty) You can get this from Hypermart or Chinese grocery store. Good to eat with porridge or rice.

I just learnt of this ingredient about a week ago. Bought some claypot ground pork rice and it has some "blackish" stuff on top.
The lady told me in Chinese what it was, but by the time I got home, I have forgotten the name.
After eating it I fell in love with it! Taste absolutely delicious!

Hey Ancoo..thanks so much for the award! I love to make fried rices…except that I almost always go wrong. I try to make the rice with the veggies and cannot get the rice: water ratio correct. This way there is no way to get it bad!
