Yoghurt Honey Madeleines
I made these cute Madeleines based on the cookbook 優格点甜点厨房(Yoghurt Dessert Kitchen). The recipe is quite easy to follow without using the cake mixer and can be done within 15 minutes minus the baking time. These Madeleines are a bit on a dry side but the texture was soft because of yoghurt added and had a slight fragrance of honey. They tastes better the next day, just store them in an airtight container in room temperature. Good to go with a cuppa of coffee.
Yoghurt Honey Madeleines
- Grease mould with some soft butter and set aside.
- Gently whisk egg, then add in sugar and honey into it. Whisk till sugar dissolved.
- Add in natural yoghurt and whisk vigourously till batter becomes foamy.
- Then gradually add in sifted flour and baking powder into batter mix till combined and becomes a thick paste.
- Lastly add in melted butter in two batches and mix well.
- Scoop batter into mould with a spoon.
- Bake at preheated oven 180C for about 12 minutes or skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Remove Madeleines from mould and place on wire rack to cool.

I've always had a thing for madelines – something about the texture and sponginess. Love these!

The texture slightly better than kuih bahulu. Have a try.

哈哈。。。很奇怪,我的做出来都是肚子平平的。
好清新的madeline,看了就想吃,我的模型被‘打枪’了,还回不到来,只好来你这里吃咯!嘻嘻!
Eileen, 你也跟Angie一起来吃。
Light golden yellow colour, just like the early sunlight. 🙂 that special Madeline mould is very nice too. :))
Pretty Madeleines.. Where did you get the mould? I could not find any here.
Christine, I got it from Daiso. I think there is a Daiso in KL, right?
很久之前就很想做这madeleines了,只是家里没这模子所以迟迟懒的动手,看到你做了又有冲动想马上买模开工。。哈哈哈!
还没开工前先请拿几个回家当早餐。。。嘻嘻!

Hello Esther, Thanks for visiting. This is the most easy method, have a try 🙂 You can get the moulds from Daiso.
Your madeleines have such a nice and even color. I was going to bring you a madeleine pan the last time I visited. Pity we couldn't meet. Will bring it the next time 🙂
Thank you for thinking of me, always 🙂 I promise will meet you the next time when you're here.
I want this for breakfast. Very nice and even color.
