Here is another dish that is my family’s favourite, a simple yet easy to make ~ Steamed Minced Pork with Dong Cai (here).
Printable recipe
Ingredients:
400g Minced pork with fats (五花肉)
1 tsp Ginger juice
1 tbsp Light soy sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Sesame oil
1/2 tsp Cooking wine
1 tbsp Egg white
1 tbsp Corn flour
3 tbsp Water
1/2 tbsp Corn oil
30g Dong Cai ~ Soak Dong cai in water for 15 minutes, wash and squeeze dry. Chop Dong Cai to smaller pieces.
Then mix all the ingredients together and put in a plate for steaming, top up with some spring onion, shredded chilli and ginger.
Steam at high heat for about 12 mins.
Kitchen note: Add some chopped water chestnut into it, will make the dish taste better.
Thanks all for taking your time to read this post.
We don't have some of the ingredients here, would have to travel several hours to the nearest Asian store…but this looks so good, Anncoo. I hope someday to be able to try this as it looks delicious.

很久没做这道菜了.小时候,我母亲和婆婆就很常煮,看了你做的菜,让我很怀念.
This dish is nice and easy to prepare. My wifey favourite!
My mum used to cook this dish for us. Love it. Recently, I created a variation, placed some tofu under to steam with the pork. The tofu absorbed all the yummy sauce and flavour.
Gosh, Ann. This reminds me of my mom's "buck sum". Miss it so much. Thanks to you, now I can do it on my own :-)Sawadee from Bangkok,Kris
