Hi Friends, Thanks for taking your precious time reading this post.
Huwaaaaaaahhhh……. It makes me hungry by now :D~~~~~~
There was a little Vietnamese restaurant in Phoenix, AZ that I use to go to and have fish balls. Loved them- havent had them in years. This looks super yummy to me.
Anncoo this looks so perfect right now — the weather is rainy and cold in Dallas 🙁 If only I could have a big steaming bowl of this fish ball soup — I can almost smell the incredible scent of the broth and fish balls — now if only I could taste it… 🙂

It looks beautiful and if I didn't know what was inside I would almost be tempted to take a bite, but I am not a big fan of fishballs to be honest. The dish does look gorgeous though!
I loved eating fish ball soup when I was growing up.
Chris: Sure, add 冬菜 tastes better. (I wanted to add this and carrot, keep forgetting to buy carrot so just add some chicken powder lor).
Blessed Homemaker: I love 冬菜, like to use this to steam minced pork.
Talking about 东菜, I remember my mom used to add this and I hated it when I was a child. But now, I'm learning to appreciate the taste 🙂
Something light after the heavy eating over the cny period. Is it ok to omit the chicken powder?
Rachel: Thanks! Add some carrot into it, better and omit the chicken powder. (I keep forgetting to buy carrots for my cooking this time).
Rebecca: Thanks for your nice words.
5*Foodie: Yes, can add any meat into it.

Fish balls always our family's favorite. Whether for soup, fried, etc. They are yummy! Did you make your own fish balls?
I cook this using my leftover stock minus the chicken power 🙂 My kids love the cabbage as it literally melts in the mouth.
Thanks for the reminder, I've not cooked this for a long time.
