Melt In Your Mouth Orange Squares 入口即化香橙方块
This is my first time making Orange Squares with a recipe adapted from Recipe.com. These melt-in-the-mouth squares were full of orange flavour and just wonderful, more so when taken warm. They were indeed delicious as the orange custard have been infused into the crust below which was a perfect combination of flavours. Store the leftover orange squares in the refrigerator for 2 days if you still have some leftovers. Chilled leftovers will not be able to give you the melt-in-the-mouth effect but they were still moist with the orange custard. Definitely a nice treat for anyone as an afternoon tea.

Ann, your Orange Squares are so beautiful to look at! I am very eager to discover that orangey melt-in-your mouth experience!
Zest of whole orange, means the skin plus the meat of the orange too?
Hi, zest of whole orange is the grated skin from the orange. No orange meat in this recipe only juice.
Has anyone tried it yet?
Hi Ann, I made this today and the orange curd turned out quite hard and not melt in the mouth at all. What would have gone wrong? What should the texture be?
Hi Connie, did you take pics on your bakes? Can email me @ anncoojournal@gmail.com

Ann, sorry I have a question……….when you say zest from 1 orange do you mean use the zest of 1 whole orange or do you mean some zest from 1 orange? Sorry if it sounds stupid. Forgive me. Thanks!
Ai Li, Yes, I always used zest of whole orange or lemon. Also good to add the mandarin orange on top, taste better.
Hi Ann, thanks for your prompt reply…..does it affect if it is a BIG orange which means a lot more zest?
No problem. I bought the sunkist oranges in bag at Fairprice. Is very sweet and juicy but the oranges are medium size.
Wow! I am salivating already…………..sure good!
nice! would like to try, since you say melt in mouth!
