Green Pea Cookies 青豆饼
I’m sure all bakers are very busy preparing and baking for the upcoming Chinese New Year which about two weeks from now. Please excuse me for not dropping by your blogs recently as I’m also very busy in the kitchen. Here is another cookies recipe ~ Green Pea Cookies that I adapted from Cheah of No-Frills Recipes. Cheah made these melt in the mouth cookies last year that I didn’t manage to them. So this year I quickly bought a packet of green pea powder to make this crumbly soft cookie. Really love the colour of this cookie and yum, so pretty! … can’t stop popping this not too sweet and addictive little cookie in my mouth. Love it to bits!

Wonder you can get the green pea powder in Aust?
I wouldn't normally be a pea person, buts pea cookies? Awesome!!
今年的list没有它,或许明年就会到它了:)
Hi Ann! I have never tried green pea cookies before and find it refreshing. Can we use the real peas instead of the powder form?
Alvin, I think a lot of work using real peas. You've to fry the peas and grind to fine.
Green pea cookies are one of my favourites. Love the toasty flavour and gritty texture. Looks good!
yes yes, i know this kind of cookie you will not stop at one, hehehe..
Oh those look fantastic Ann! Very delicious recipe and pictures as stunning as always…I recently found out that CNY is on my birthday :)Have a lovely week ahead!xo
WOW! what a coincidence! My blog 4th anniversary is also on the 10th!
Defiantly! We both have to celebrate hehe
These look very pretty and tasty. I wonder if they are the similar to those that come in a tin which I have not eaten in a long, long time. Of course, yous look way better. I am also curious about the green pea powder. First time I am hearing about it.
oh wow i didn't know it was so easy to make these green pea cookies as I always had the impression they were like kuih bangkit and you have to cook the flour first, etc. the method reminds me of the peanut cookie – so i'm definitely KIVing this for this weekend! where can i get green pea powder easily btw?
Janine, I bought the green pea powder from Sunlik, you can also check with Kitchen Capers.
Hi Ann, I love green pea cookies. But have yet to try my hands on it because those I had eaten before were soft and crumbly. Yours look lovely and very tempting. Thanks for sharing. Gong Xi Fa Cai !

I'm not sure where you got this green pea flour. You've to call the shop owner and check it out. I bought it from Sunlik and the green pea powder is green in colour.

Hi Chris, thank you very much for coming to my blog. You're amazing! Love all your crafts work, very pretty.
I love green tea cookies. I just made some for my CNY post as well (but very differnt in the look and ingredients from your recipe). Probably will publish later this week. I say, great minds thinks alike. 🙂 They are really perfect for CNY. I gotta try your version later too. I love that golden brown on top of the cookie from the egg wash. So pretty.
hehee… I'm going to check your post once it's up.
Ann, I thought that these cookies were made out of the mashed and filtered green peas but it isn't and yes, I also like the green colour of these cookies! I never see green pea powder selling here!
Jessie, I should have buy you a packet of this green pea powder when you was here last month. Now is already quite late to send you, have to wait until next year – ok!
