Fried Prawns with Lemon Grass and Garlic 蒜香虾
These prawns fried with lemon grass and garlic is one of the quickest and easiest recipe to prepare at home. These prawns are well blended with lemon grass flavour and they were slightly spicy and with a bit of crispy garlic, it was a wonderful dish to add on to the dining table. One would certainly ask for an extra helping of rice to go with them.

Fried Prawns with Lemon Grass and Garlic
Ingredients
- 400 g large or medium prawns - clean, pat dry with kitchen towel,season with a dash of salt and pepper
- 2 clove garlic - peeled and sliced
- 1 stalk lemon grass - sliced the white part
- 2 fresh red chillies - cut finely
- some corn starch - for dusting
Seasoning (mix well)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3/4 tbsp soya sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 50 ml water
Instructions
- Coat prawns with some cornstarch and shallow fry until golden brown. Dish up and set aside.
- Add some oil in heated pan. Add garlic, lemon grass and chillies in pan and fry till aroma. Pour in seasoning and bring to boil. Add prawns and stir fry until well mixed and sauce almost dries up. Dish up and serve immediately.
蒜香虾
搭配香茅,蒜头片和辣椒, 做法簡單, 令蝦的香味更濃郁开胃。
材料:
- 400克 大虾或中虾, 洗净,用厨房纸吸水分 撒上少许盐和胡椒粉
- 2瓣 蒜头,去皮切片
- 1支 香茅,切片
- 2条 辣椒,切细
- 栗粉适量
- 调味料(混合均匀)
- 1汤匙 耗油
- 3/4汤匙 酱请
- 2汤匙 番茄酱
- 2茶匙 白糖
- 50毫升 水
做法:
- 虾拌入适量栗粉,放入热油中至熟透及金黄色(无需放大量油,浅炸就可以了),捞起沥干油分。
- 锅中放入少许油,将蒜头片,香茅和辣椒爆香。倒入调味料至滚,放入虾翻炒约至稍微收汁即可上碟享用。
